Who We Are?
Ever since its inception, Public Welfare and Desert Development Society (PWDDS) is making all out efforts for social and economic empowerment of women, children, disabled and deprived sections of the society. It has tried to reach out to maximum possible number of people for their empowerment and restoration of their rights.
We at PWDDS feel that problems and priorities of the marginalised sections of the society are different. We also feel that feudal powers in the society are against the interests of the deprived sections. PWDDS is making efforts for ensuring their rights and bringing about qualitative improvement in their lives.
The operational area of PWDDS falls in Thar Desert, which is one of the most inhospitable regions of world. Staffers and volunteers of PWDDS are working hard for the development of the people in this very challenging setting.
On the completion of 10 years of the organisation, a strategic document has been prepared to give a direction to the organisation and help establish a society where people enjoy equal rights and lead a life in an equal and just environment.
